They are registered nurses who have pursued doctoral or post-doctoral research training and who generate original knowledge through systematic inquiry. Many are also Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs), bringing firsthand clinical insight to research while caring for patients and supporting families through complex health challenges.
